Adventures in Property Management

Home Business? Maybe Not.

Paul Roth - Wednesday, August 5, 2020
Property Management Blog

A self-managing owner purchased a rental property that included several units. As part of their investment they decided to remodel the units to have nicer properties and be able to increase the rental income. As the workers were in the units upgrading the insulation they noticed one particular tenant had a large collection of lingerie. Obviously this is personal preference and in no way a violation of any lease or concern to the owner. Maybe it was an eBay business? However, as the work continued the workers began to notice many different men visiting the tenant during the day, for short periods of time. When it was time for lease renewal, the owner decided to move on from this particular tenant.
