A tenant calls their manager asking where they can go pick up the gas for their furnace? The manager questions them, asking what the 'issue' is. The tenant responds with " Our furnace hasn't worked for days, I asked a friend and they said it works on natural gas, but none of the gas stations seem to carry it....."

Lesson learned: The manager nicely explained that they needed to call the gas company and make sure the gas is hooked up (per their lease agreement) Once the gas is turned on, they would come out and restart the furnace for the tenant. As it turns out, the tenant didn't understand that they had to pay the bill, and the gas was turned off for non-payment.
